Door and window repair on the Treasure Coast
Doors that stick, latches that will not catch, sliders that drag and windows that leak air. We adjust, repair and seal them so they work the way they should.
Doors and windows move every day, and in a humid climate they move more. Doors swell and rub, hinges sag, strike plates drift out of line, and sliding doors fill their tracks with sand. We fix these everyday problems for homeowners in Stuart, Port St. Lucie, Palm City, Jensen Beach and Hobe Sound.
Humidity makes wood doors swell, and houses settle. A door that closed fine in winter can rub all summer. The fix is rarely to just plane the door. We check the hinges, the frame and the strike first, tighten or shim what moved, and only then trim the door if it needs it, sealing any cut edge so it does not soak up more moisture.
Sliders are everywhere on the Treasure Coast, and sand, salt and grit are hard on their tracks and rollers. We clean the track, adjust the rollers so the door glides, and replace worn handles and latches where parts are available. If a door or window needs full replacement, including impact-rated units, our parent company Home & Beyond Services handles window and door installation.
A door adjustment often goes with casing repair or weatherstripping and caulking. Put them on the same visit.
The handyman team adjusts and repairs. Full door and window replacement is handled by Home & Beyond Services, our parent company.
Usually, yes. Most sliders need a clean track and roller adjustment. If a roller is worn out, we tell you what part it needs before we replace it.
We replace door hardware and locksets. We do not do locksmith work such as rekeying or master key systems.
Why a local handyman matters
Humidity, settling, loose hardware, worn caulk, sticking doors, cracked drywall. Florida homes need constant small repairs. But most contractors won't bother with the small stuff. We take it seriously.
