Drywall repair for the small damage that never goes away

Most drywall damage is small: a doorknob that went through the wall, a crack that keeps coming back over a doorway, anchor holes left by the last owner, a ceiling patch after a plumber opened it up. It is too small for a drywall contractor and too visible to live with. That is the work we do every week across Stuart, Port St. Lucie, Palm City, Jensen Beach and Hobe Sound.

We cut out what is damaged, back it where it needs backing, tape, mud, sand and match the texture so the repair blends in once paint goes on. You get a clean, primed patch, not a lump you can see in the afternoon light.

What we repair

  • Holes of every size, from anchor and screw holes to doorknob and furniture damage
  • Cracks at taped seams, corners and over door and window openings
  • Nail and screw pops that push through the paint
  • Ceiling cracks and ceiling patches, including the opening left after plumbing or AC access
  • Drywall replaced after a leak, once the source is fixed and the area is dry
  • Damaged outside corner bead and dented corners
  • Patch and prep before you paint a room

Texture matching that actually blends

Many Treasure Coast homes have knockdown or orange peel texture on walls and ceilings, and a smooth patch on a textured wall stands out from across the room. We match the texture that is already there and feather it into the surrounding wall, then prime the repair so it takes paint evenly. If you have leftover paint we can touch it up; if not, the patch is left primed and ready for your painter or for you.

Water stains and soft drywall

Humidity and summer storms are hard on drywall here. A stain or a soft, bulging spot usually means water got in. The water has to be stopped and the wall has to be dry before a patch will hold, so we look at the cause first and tell you plainly what we see. If the area is still wet, our parent company handles water damage dry-out before the repair.

How a drywall repair visit works

  1. Tell us what you see. Call or send the form with the room and the size of the damage. Photos help.
  2. We quote it before we start. You get a clear price for the patch, texture and primer.
  3. We repair and clean up. Larger patches need drying time between coats, so we tell you up front if a repair takes more than one visit.

Got other small jobs on the list? Add them. We would rather fix the drywall, re-hang the sticking door and reset the loose baseboard in one trip.

Common questions about drywall repair

Can you match my wall texture?

Yes. We match knockdown, orange peel and smooth finishes and blend the repair into the surrounding wall before priming it.

Do you paint after the repair?

We prime every patch. Touch-up paint is part of our general repairs work, so tell us if you want the wall finished and whether you have the paint.

Is a small hole worth a visit?

Yes. No job is too small, and most homeowners have more than one thing on the list. Put it all in one request and we will quote the whole visit.

Can you fix a ceiling crack?

Yes. Ceiling cracks and patches are part of drywall repair. If a crack keeps returning or the ceiling is sagging, we tell you what we think is causing it before we patch over it.
