Trim work that makes a room look finished

Trim is the first thing you notice when it is wrong: a baseboard pulling off the wall, a gap at a mitered corner, a door casing split by a doorstop, a strip of quarter round missing after new floors went in. We repair and install interior trim in homes across Stuart, Palm City, Port St. Lucie, Jensen Beach and Hobe Sound, and we finish it the way a carpenter would: nailed tight, joints closed, caulked and ready for paint.

What we install and repair

  • Baseboards, including replacing sections that swelled after water got to them
  • Shoe molding and quarter round after new flooring
  • Door and window casing, including split or loose pieces
  • Crown molding repairs and short runs
  • Chair rail and simple wall trim
  • Open joints, gaps and failed caulk along trim lines
  • Touch-up paint on trim after a repair

Swollen baseboards are a Florida problem

A lot of newer baseboard is MDF, and MDF swells and crumbles once it gets wet, whether from a leak, a mop or an AC drain line. Sanding it does not fix it. We cut out the damaged run, fit a matching profile, and caulk and prime it so it ties into the trim around it. If the wall behind it is damaged too, we handle the drywall repair in the same visit.

After new floors or a small remodel

Flooring crews often leave baseboards off, reuse damaged pieces or skip the shoe molding. If your new floors look unfinished at the edges, we install the trim, cope or miter the corners and close the gaps so the room looks done. For bigger projects, our parent company handles flooring installation and full remodels.

How a trim visit works

  1. Tell us the rooms and the trim. A photo of the profile helps us bring a match.
  2. We quote before we start. You know the price for material and labor up front.
  3. We install, caulk and clean up. Trim is left ready for paint, or touched up if you want it finished.

Common questions about trim carpentry

Can you match my existing baseboard?

Usually, yes. Common profiles are easy to match. If yours is no longer made, we tell you before the visit and suggest the closest option or a full-room change so the trim stays consistent.

Do you paint the trim?

We caulk and prime new trim. Touch-up paint can be added to the visit; tell us if you have the paint.

Is one short piece of baseboard worth the trip?

Yes. Small jobs are what we do. Add anything else on your list and we will price the whole visit.
